OUR CHARITY
Our charitable purpose is
"establishing, assisting, encouraging and facilitating sports in our community"

Oversight
The Northerner Community Trust which oversees the Academy, was set up in 2004 to promote charitable purposes related to sports, to benefit New Zealand schools and the community at large.
This includes establishing, assisting, encouraging and facilitating sports via:
-
specialist coaching;
-
personal fitness and training education programmes, courses and mentoring;
-
development of sports medicine and sports science;
-
involvement of disadvantaged children in physical education; and
-
promoting the creation of community facilities to enable these purposes.
More generally the Trust provides for: “any other purposes which according to the laws of New Zealand are charitable, whether relating to the relief of poverty, the advancement of education, or religion, or any other matter beneficial to the community”.
