General Manager and Head Coach - Paul Hamblyn
Manager
Paul Hamblyn coordinates all activities of the NorthSport Academy including hosting athletic events, athlete development and coaching, and operational management of the Recovery Lounge facility in Grafton.
Innovator
Paul pioneered the wellbeing concept and benefits of the Recovery Lounge in 2014, when he set-up the first athlete recovery facility of its kind in New Zealand.
Professional
Paul is a qualified occupational therapist and athletics coach.
Athlete
Paul is a former New Zealand middle distance national champion and Commonwealth Games representative. In 2005 he ranked 51st in the world for 1,500 metres. He placed 4th in the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games 1500m.
